Terms of Service
Version 2026-10-01 · Privacy Policy · Terms of Service
These terms are the agreement between Linewise, [registered address] (“Linewise”) and, in Part A, every restaurant that opens a Linewise account, and in Part B, every guest who joins a queue through Linewise. Parts C and D apply to clinics and their patients. Our Privacy Policy is part of these terms.
Part A — Restaurants
1. The service
Linewise gives your outlet a daily QR code, a WhatsApp or web queue for guests, a live board for your team, wait-time estimates that learn from your floor, after-visit feedback, and reporting. We improve the service continuously and may change or retire features with reasonable notice.
2. Your account
You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email; there is no password to share, and you must not share your login codes. You are responsible for everything done under your outlet's account, including by managers you invite. You must be authorised to act for the restaurant you register.
3. Your guests' data
You decide to collect your guests' names and numbers to run your queue, so under the DPDP Act, 2023 you are the data fiduciary for your guests and Linewise processes their data on your instructions and only for the purposes in the Privacy Policy. You agree to: use guest data only to run your queue and follow up on the visit through Linewise; keep the Linewise notice visible where guests join; answer guests' requests about their data, using the export and deletion tools in your dashboard; and not to copy numbers out of Linewise for marketing without the guest's separate consent.
4. WhatsApp
Guest messages are sent through Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform from a Linewise number. Delivery depends on Meta and on the guest's phone; we do not guarantee that any message is delivered or read. You must not use Linewise to send guests anything WhatsApp's policies prohibit, and you must not ask us to message guests who have not joined your queue.
5. Fees
- Every outlet starts with a 14-day free trial, no card required.
- After the trial, each outlet is ₹1,999 per month plus applicable taxes, billed monthly in advance through Razorpay by autopay (UPI, card or bank mandate), or by invoice where we have agreed that in writing.
- If a payment fails or a trial ends without a subscription, the outlet keeps working for 7 days, then guests can no longer join and the board becomes read-only until payment is made. Your data is kept.
- You can cancel any time from Billing; the outlet stays active until the end of the period you have paid for. We do not refund partial months.
- We may change prices with 30 days' notice by email; the new price applies from your next billing period after that.
6. Acceptable use
You must not attempt to access another restaurant's data, interfere with the service, reverse-engineer it, or use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms or puts guests or the service at risk, and will tell you why.
7. Availability and support
We aim for the service to be available whenever your outlet is open and we monitor it continuously, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Wait-time estimates are estimates. Support is by WhatsApp and email during Indian business hours.
8. Your content and ours
Your outlet's name, menu link and guest data remain yours; you give us the licence needed to run the service. The Linewise software, designs, wait-time models and the aggregate, anonymised statistics we derive from queues remain ours.
9. Liability
To the extent the law allows, Linewise is not liable for lost business, lost profits or indirect losses, and our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Ending the agreement
You can remove an outlet or close your account at any time from Settings. We can end the agreement with 30 days' notice, or immediately for a serious breach. After the end, you can export your data for 30 days; we then delete it as described in the Privacy Policy.
Part B — Guests
By sending the join message on WhatsApp or submitting the join page, you ask the restaurant to hold a place for you and agree to receive messages about that visit (your position, when your table is ready, and one request for feedback afterwards). A queue position is not a reservation: the restaurant seats guests at its discretion and may skip a party that does not answer when invited. You must give your own name and a number you can be reached on. You can leave the queue at any time from the status page or by replying “cancel” on WhatsApp. Linewise is not responsible for the restaurant's food, service or seating decisions.
Part C — Clinics
Part A applies to clinics in full, reading “clinic” for restaurant, “patient” for guest and “receptionist” for manager, with these additions:
C1. Not a medical system
Linewise manages the order in which patients are seen and tells them how long they may wait. It is not a medical record, does not give medical advice and must not be used for emergencies — a patient who needs urgent care must be attended to directly, whatever their token. Who is seen and when is always the clinic's decision.
C2. Patient data
You are the data fiduciary for your patients. You agree to record only a patient's name and mobile number in Linewise, never symptoms, diagnoses, prescriptions or other health information; to keep the Linewise notice visible where patients check in; to show the waiting-room screen only in a way that displays token numbers; and to answer patients' requests about their data using the export tools in your dashboard.
C3. Messages to patients
Patients receive only messages about their own visit: their token, a “you're next” notice, a doctor-delay notice, and a rating request only if Linewise has switched feedback on for your clinic at your request. Estimated waits are estimates.
Part D — Patients
By scanning a clinic's QR code and sending the check-in message, or by giving your number to the clinic's reception, you ask the clinic to give you a token and agree to receive WhatsApp messages about that visit. A token is not an appointment: the clinic sees patients at its discretion, may see urgent cases first, and may mark you as a no-show if you are not there when called. Estimated waits are estimates. You can leave the queue from your status page or by replying “cancel”, and stop all messages by replying STOP. Linewise is not a healthcare provider and is not responsible for the clinic's medical care. In an emergency, do not wait for your token — tell the reception or call emergency services.
